Fall Family Portraits at Pearce Estate Park • First Time Family Portrait Experience!

Baby, it's cold outside! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas with their family and loved ones. I hope that everyone stayed safe, kept healthy and enjoyed their time this Christmas.

It's been especially cold out there these last couple of days! My furnace gave out completely on Christmas Day, which had us in a mad dash to find a repairman to come fix it. But while we huddled around the fireplace and kept busy, waiting for the furnace technician to come as the temperatures dropped in our home, I found that was probably the part I enjoyed the most about our Christmas as a family (well, almost. But I'll share more exciting news about our Christmas later!)

Being around my own family and making those memories makes me realize more and more just how beautiful it is to have those memories captured to enjoy for years to come. I had so much fun shooting this family session - a first time experience for this family! The colours were absolutely magical and it was the last day before the winds stripped the trees of their beautiful golden leaves. 

I especially loved a grouping of Larch Trees that I found whilst scoping out a people-free spot during the session (everyone was out and about trying to get their family photos in before the leaves were gone! Fall is such a busy time of year!) and I absolutely adore how it filled in the background of the portraits with colour without being too distracting. I absolutely adored this family's outfit choices and had a blast photographing them. 

The Acrylic Wall Art pieces that the family ordered from their session are absolutely jaw-dropping! I know that they will be a gorgeous focal point in their home that will draw many ooh's and ahh's from anyone who comes to visit. I'm sure that even Mom & Dad already stop to admire their portraits while they walk by, as well. I know that I did while I was prepping their pieces for delivery - I find myself wanting to keep some of the wall art for myself sometimes, they are just so beautiful! 

As I continue to prepare for the New Year, I am continually flattered and humbled by the love and support of my clients and am so grateful to be chosen as their photographer. I love making sure my clients are happy with their entire experience, and I am happy to know that many come back every year to be spoiled again and again! Their smiling faces make my world go'round.
