When I first spoke with Lyndsay on the phone, I knew that I wanted to work with her. She really wanted to capture beautiful photos of the family and update their family portraits after having their third little one. She specifically was looking for a beautiful family portrait to update the canvas in their home. I knew that I would be able to do that for her and make sure that her experience was absolutely perfect and easy. 

She mentioned past experiences with photography and that it was hard to not put things like choosing photos for albums and getting them up on the wall without putting them on the backburner. I told her that I would handle all of that for her, and I think that's one of the main reasons she decided to go with me and I am so thankful. 

I really wanted these photos to be perfect for her. I know that when families hire a photographer, they want to be blown away by the photos. Well, blown away we almost were but not exactly in the sense of the photos themselves. On the day of our session, the wind picked up and it was SO gusty! I did the best that I could to keep the kids smiling and capture beautiful photos, but I did end up suggesting that we try again another day and see if we could capture some more relaxed portraits on a less blustery day. 

The family was so thankful that I took the time and energy to make sure they loved their photos. They did end up loving quite a few from our first round of photos, but I am glad that we did a little re-shoot just to add a bit of variety to the session and so that the Kiryakos understood that I really, really wanted them to enjoy their photos and their entire experience. 

They are such a wonderful family, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with them. Their children are absolutely adorable, and James & Lyndsay are a beautiful couple. I hope that I get to work with them again soon!
