Nash was scheduled to arrive early, on account of him making a couple of attempts to arrive early on his own. But, despite the agenda given to him, this baby boy was anxious to come out into the real world, and still ended up arriving a few days earlier than scheduled. On his owns terms, and into the excited arms of his parents, Kevin and Sydney.
Just a couple weeks before Nash's arrival, Kevin and Sydney had come to me for a last minute maternity session in my studio. But, since this little man was so keen on showing up early, he arrived before the bump photos were finished, so we focused on his own grand debut session before finally focusing back onto the maternity session (which I will post shortly - seriously, it's amazing!)
Sydney showed up with an amazing assortment of little doo-dads that I was beyond excited to use for our session, like little nerd glasses, a mini weight, and an assortment of beautiful, handmade hats and outfits made by mama herself! My inspiration went soaring when she mentioned Nash's nursery was Peter Pan themed, and I couldn't wait to put together a piece that I am ultimately so excited about. The entire gallery exceeded my own expectations (which, trust me, are HIGH with every session!) and I am absolutely head over heals for this tiny baby boy.
Even after we had finished with the session, I had to scoop him up and show him off to my own family members, who commented on how tiny he was and oogled over his tiny little features. I have to be honest and say I was a tiny bit heartbroken as Sydney and Kevin buckled up their little treasure in his car seat and returned home; I certainly hope I am lucky enough to see this beautiful family again for more memories in the future!
Congratulations to the Malenfant's on the arrival of their beautiful baby boy! I had SO much fun shooting and editing this session, and am so excited with how this gallery pulled together!
Stay tuned for the maternity session!
