Oh, Walter! The little champion of happiness, whose contagious grins make my cheeks ache with joy! I adore this beautiful, simple sitter session. From vintage props to a splishy-splashy milk bath, these super-sweet portraits of this happy baby boy had Mom swooning left, right and centre (myself included!)

Ever marvelled at how a plump, squishy baby can bend like a pretzel? It blows my mind to see them fold in half while being the squishiest humans alive. When it comes to sitter sessions, those foot-hold images are hands down (or should I say foots down?) my absolute favourite!

Can we talk about hand dimples, though? I was totally bummed the other day when I glanced at my own kids' hands and realized their adorable little dimples had transformed into knuckles. I never thought I'd miss that detail—I hardly noticed it when my own kids were small. But now, for every little one who steps into my studio, I can't help but think of the time when "knowing the back of my child's hand" meant dimples.

These changes happen in the blink of an eye, even though the days sometimes drag. The years are ridiculously short. Sitter sessions capture just how much your baby has transformed from a newborn, while they still have those unmistakable baby features. Honestly, I think sitter sessions often capture the cutest stage for baby photos. Who can resist a toothless smile and chubby thunder thighs?

If a parent asked me "why," I could give them a list of reasons as long as a Costco receipt to convince them about sitter sessions. But for the sake of saving time, here are three (and I might add more later if you're still undecided!):
