Once upon a time, not that long ago, I had the honour of shooting a beautiful newborn session for a sweet baby girl named Alayna. It was a beautiful, all-black-themed newborn session and I absolutely loved it. You can see Alayna's newborn session here. 

Just over a year later, and little Alayna has become a proud big sister to sweet baby Zyon. While Alayna had been petite and small, Zyon arrived as a delicious squish and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on her! 

Mom & Dad requested all-black setups again. I wanted to do some different setups that would be unique to Zyon, but also do a few similar poses and setups to tie the two sessions together. It turned out absolutely beautiful! 

To say that I love working with this family is an understatement. I was pregnant with my third (who is now 6!) when I first started working with Kay and her family. I adore this group of beautiful people! They are so down-to-earth and easy to talk to, not to mention funny! I love cracking jokes with them. They are surrounded by love and hearing them swoon over their babies makes my heart so happy! I always look forward to having them in my studio. 

Baby Zyon quite liked being the boss of where she put her hands and wasn't afraid to yell at me every now and again, but we always eventually came to an agreement to get the shot and move on to put together a gorgeous gallery for Mom & Dad to pick from. 

Many of my clients are return clients, and for that, I am so truly thankful. I've been photographing newborns and families for over 7 years now. I've met many wonderful people during that time, and for the ones that have followed me on my journey and watched me grow, and who have continued to choose and trust me to capture your memories: you are the real VIPs. I genuinely adore each and every one of you. You are part of Hocus Focus Photography and all of the wonderful stories that have been shared here. I am so blessed and grateful for the honour and privilege!
