It's been a very busy and successful Fall season for Family Sessions. This year was incredible with the array of colours and the weather was exceptional, making these outdoor sessions enjoyable for both myself and my clients. 

I've worked with the Frankard Family on a number of occasions and always look forward to our sessions. They are such a fun bunch, and I love that we can throw around sarcastic jokes (for those of you who know me, you know that I speak fluent sarcasm) and giggle about all sorts of different things. 

It amps me up when a family shows up for their session packed full of positive energy and a willingness to let loose and just have fun during the session. The vibes are contagious, and it keeps a smile on everyone's faces and all-around makes a session go smoothly. 

It's fantastic when kids take full advantage of the opportunity to explore and burn their energy. Portraits with movement add a whole new piece of character to the image, and really shows off their individual personalities that really pull a gallery together. This Family Session was packed full of adorable moments and priceless expressions.

There were so many moments where I found myself stopping mid-sentence to crouch and grab a shot, whether it was Dad tying his son's untied shoe or kiddos racing through the tall grass. Amidst the posing and guiding, it's wonderful to know that even the in-between moments can tell a cute little story on their own. 

Mom loved their gallery, but I am so enthralled with the artwork that she ordered for their beautiful home. The colours of their outfits paired with the simple (yet striking) location of the shoot created such vibrant and gorgeous pieces that begged to be displayed on the wall, and after designing a couple of mock-ups for her we settled on an absolutely gorgeous 3-image collage. 

I was on the phone with a friend when the artwork showed up at my house, and I let out such a shriek of delight that I'm sure her ears were ringing. 

I've been so excited to share this Family Session on my blog; Fall is one of my favourite times of year to shoot family sessions and this session was a great way to kick off the season right.
