When You Support A Small Business, Like Me, It's Means A LOT.
Running a full-time business from your home while simultaneously raising a small brood of children is no easy task.
I know that a lot of us Moms do it. And I applaud you all!
It's the late nights. The stressing over the messy house but having a pile of work to get to. Feeling overwhelmed to the point that you don't know where to start, some days, and lie awake at night sorting through the To-Do List for tomorrow.
BUT...
When you do something you love, it makes it much easier. I am so truly blessed that so many clients have given me the ability to work from home, do what I love, and raise my three beautiful little girls. And while some days I am far busier with work than others, the truth is that my girls are one of the many main reasons that I am so passionate, driven and determined to continually build on my business and make it better for my clients, myself AND my family.
To You, It's Just A Trampoline.
And you're probably wondering... where are all the photos of the cute babies? The cake-smothered one-year-olds? The gorgeous mothers-to-be?
I want to show you what that trust is turned into when you pick a small business, like me, and hire us for our services.
When you hire a service and/or products from a small business, it means something as simple as this: a trampoline.
It's just a trampoline, sure. But what it really is, to me, is a return from my clients who have trusted me to capture their joy and having it turned into something that my very own children can also turn into their own joy.
When I've slept in late because I stayed up until the wee hours of the night working away on a gallery, or have had to shuffle some plans around to squeeze a client in. Not that I am complaining at all; it's never an issue to make things easier for everyone when I can.
But, when I can turn that effort, the number of hours and my absence into something that my kids can enjoy, and that I can also enjoy by watching them have fun with, it's a very wonderful and sweet reminder that I am so very, very lucky to be able to do what I do and turn it into something tangible for not only my clients but my kids, too.
And it extends beyond trampolines. It's new shoes when my kids have outgrown their pair. It's birthday parties, Christmas gifts, food in their bellies and a roof over their heads. My husband and I work hand in hand to try and provide the best life we can for our babies. Things would not be the same if it was either just one or the other.
The Truth Is, Running A Business Is Expensive.
Perhaps "expensive" isn't the right word, and is more appropriately termed as "investment". Either way, the point is: it costs money.
So, even when some months feel like it's been a good one, sometimes there isn't much left after all the necessities have been paid for to be able to get something "fun". So this little trampoline is truly, really a beautiful gift that I am SO excited to have been able to give my kids. Seeing the looks on their faces made it all the more beautiful, and a memory I'll never forget.
There's just something so fun about spending some money on something special and new, especially when it's for fun and pleasure. Even if you know you could technically do without it, some things just make life a little more fun and enjoyable. It makes it all worth it! (Like Photography!)
Ultimately, I am blessed, I am thankful, and I am appreciative to every single client who has ever walked through my door.
Thank you to all of Hocus Focus Clients for helping me give my kids a little piece of their childhood and making it something worth remembering; I know the memories we capture (or have captured) together are ones that definitely are worth treasuring and I'm ever so grateful to everyone and am excited to give my kids a reward for being awesome little kids.
In short, thank you for the trampoline!
Sincerely,
Amanda, Hailey, Sydney & Kimber
