Fall Family Session at Bowness Park in NW Calgary

I know what you're thinking... it's April and spring has just started. Why in the world would I be blogging about a Fall Family Session? 

There are a few reasons behind this! 

• I realized I haven't yet blogged about this session, and it absolutely deserves to be! 
• Fall is my busiest time of year for Family Sessions, so giving families the chance to think about booking in advance gives them an advantage ;) 
• My outdoor season is starting in just a couple of weeks, so this is a great way to kickstart the season and get pumped up for all of the lovely sessions I already have scheduled in my calendar for the Summer!

This was the last family session I shot in 2022, and it was absolutely perfect in every way! The timing could not have been any better, because within a few days, the weather turned, it snowed, and winter was here... 

I first met this family a couple of years back for their son's Three Month Milestone Session, and had the honour of working with them again to update their family portraits. 

I love working with this family! They are so kind and always have the biggest smiles on their faces! There is just something about genuinely happy people that make you want to be around them. That energy is so contagious, and I'm all for it! 

We played several different games and were constantly on the move - what else would you expect during a session with a toddler? So many beautiful moments were captured, and Mom & Dad were absolutely thrilled with the outcome of their gallery (as am I!) I am so thankful for their love and support towards my small business, and hope to see those beautiful smiling faces again soon!

As the sun dipped away for the evening, the tell-tale sign that Fall was coming to an end nipped at our fingertips and told us it was time to wrap it up. I couldn't help but turn to look at the sunset one last time as my final family session of the year came to an end. And I couldn't wait to feel the warm sun on my back once again for the next season. 

So! The "next season" is upon us and I am chomping at the bit to get started! I'm ready, my camera is ready, my calendar is booked, and I am so looking forward to much fun in the golden-hour sun for 2023!
