Jade.
The moment I learned her name, I knew I had to do something to reflect that gorgeous name.
I have never before used such a vibrant colour of green for a newborn session, but it was absolutely perfect. All that was missing was a piece of genuine jade... which I don't own a single piece of. But, it was just my luck that when Mom & Dad showed up with their precious treasure, they asked if they could include a genuine jade necklace that belonged to Jade's grandmother.
I am 99.9% sure I startled Mom & Dad as I shrieked (as softly as I could) and clapped my hands. This was EXACTLY what I was hoping for! And the cards just seemed to be in my favour that day!
I hummed and hawed for a moment to try and think of a way to beautifully display this perfect keepsake, and am so thrilled that my idea worked! The most perfect, unique little headband for little Jade. Worn proudly in memory of her grandmother, and a perfect match for these gorgeous little baby.
Seriously, though. HOW cute is she? I am completely jealous of her gorgeous skin tone! And whether it was toasty warm neutrals or spunky vibrant colours, she rocked them all! There is no colour this girly can't wear!
And, oh, what a smiley little baby she was. We even managed to sneak a smirk in during the froggy pose - the best!
Our session was quick and snappy, and she did wake up right at the butt-end of the session (I think maybe I surprised her a bit?! :P ) but there she was as perfect as perfect can be, and a session can't really go any smoother than hers did.
In, pictures, done, out. And with a gorgeous gallery to boot.
I had so much fun both shooting and editing this session, I'll admit I was a little sad that I could snuggle Jade a little longer, and work on her photos just a smidge more. I'll just have to revisit her gallery whenever I'm craving her cute little face. <3
This is sweet baby Jade, on her 7th day of life!
